Khao Phra Viharn National Park covers the area up to the boundary between Thailand and Cambodia, containing high cliffs and lush forests of the Dongrek Mountain Range. Over 130 square kilometers of forested area in Si SaKet, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces are contained within the park. It is the Kingdom’s 83rd National Park, established on March 20, 1998. The park features a variety of tropical forests and is home to numerous wildlife such as wild hogs, deer, barking deer, rabbits, squirrels, gibbons, and civets. Visitors will enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Northeast and Phra Viharn sanctuary from the Mo I-Daeng Cliff, situated precisely on the Thai-Cambodian border. Religious sites such as bas reliefs south of the cliff, double sandstone stupas west of the cliff, and Don Tuan Khmer Ruins from the 10th-11th century (300 meters from the Thai-Cambodian border) are also interesting sights. (Take Highway No. 2243 and turn in at Km. 91 for 4 kilometers to get to the ruins.)A variety of natural sights are also available, including a stream (Sa Trao), a waterfall (Namtok Khun Si) and a cave (Tham Khun Si). To get there:   From Bangkok, takeHighway No. 1 (Phahonyothin Road) and turn right at Saraburi onto Highway No. 2 (Mitraphap Road). At Amphoe Si Khio, turn right toHighway No. 24, and continue via Amphoe Pak Thong Chai, Sangkha, and Kukhan. Turn right toHighway No. 221, and head to Amphoe Kantharalak and continue into the park. How to get there

From Bangkok, use highway 1 (Pahol Yothin Rd.) turn right at Saraburi into highway 2 (Mitraphap Rd.). At Amphoe Si Khew, turn right into highway 24, and travel via Amphoe Pak Thongchai, Sangka, and Ku Khan. Turn right into highway 221, and head to Amphoe Kantaralak and keep going to the park.
From Ubon Ratchathani, use highway 2178 and 221 via Amphoe Varin Chamrap, Samrong, Benjalak, and Kantaralak to the park.
