The mosque is located at Ban Bang Nara, just before Narathat Beach. It is a religious site highly revered by Thai Muslims. The central mosque used to be a sacred location for Muslims in Narathiwat to worship of the Allah's kindness. The old location was at Pichitbumrung road, Bangnak sub-district in Narathiwat province. It was constructed in 1981 with the budget of 21 million 3 hundred thousand baht. Later the mosque was moved to Pichitbumrung road, PreedaBridge near Naratat beach with the area of 10 fields and 35 square two meters with the construction cost of 22,621,113.75 baht. The place has then become the second central mosque of the province.  This 3-story Arabian-style building is decorated with a large dome on top like the shape of a pumpkin. In addition, there is a high tower called “Minar” which means a place for light watching looking like the light-house of Alexandria in Egypt. Later, it becomes“Muezzin” or the tower used for calling Muslims to prayer. The prayer rooms are on the top 2 floors floored with light blue carpet. There is also Arabic writing in circle patterns. It can be said that this mosque is constructed with the Arabian architectural style. There is the main convention hall on the ground floor.Normally, tourists can only visit the outside area of the mosque. To go inside, you have to contact the officer in advance. The mosque is open every day with no entrance fee from 08.00 to 18.00.
